Plug In Useful Refund Policy

Refunds for App Purchases

(Applies to Plug In SEO, Plug In Speed, and Plug In AI)

1. Trial Period

Once the trial ends, Shopify automatically begins billing your store for the monthly subscription.

The app is considered in use as long as it remains installed on your Shopify store.
If you cancel your plan by uninstalling the app from your Shopify admin, your subscription ends immediately and no future payments will be charged.

However, due to Shopify’s billing system, you may still see one final charge for the current billing period on your next Shopify invoice. This is standard and does not mean the app is still active.


2. Refund Policy

Refunds are granted only in limited cases and at Plug In Useful’s sole discretion.

You may be eligible for a refund of up to one month’s fee if:

  • You request the refund within 3 days after your trial or billing period ends, or
  • The app was not working properly or was incompatible with your theme, and you contacted support promptly.

Refunds will not be granted if:

  • You request a refund more than 3 days after the trial or billing period ends,
  • You did not use the app while it was installed, or
  • You forgot to uninstall or cancel your subscription on time.

Refunds are limited to one month’s fees and apply only to paid invoices . If an invoice has not yet been paid, a refund cannot be issued.
We do not issue app credits before a Shopify invoice is created and paid.


3. Shopify Billing System

Shopify handles all billing and credit card transactions for our apps. This means:

  • If you uninstall an app in the middle of a billing cycle, the full charge for that cycle will still appear on your Shopify invoice.
  • You may see a final charge after uninstalling, as Shopify does not prorate or stop charges mid-cycle.
  • Once the app is completely uninstalled, no new charges will appear.

4. Shopify’s No-Refund Policy

Merchants acknowledge that Shopify maintains a strict no-refund policy for subscription charges processed through its platform.
Therefore, all refund requests related to Plug In Useful apps are handled solely at Plug In Useful’s discretion and cannot be processed directly by Shopify.


5. Merchant Responsibility

It is the merchant’s responsibility to monitor and manage app subscriptions.
Failing to uninstall, forgetting to cancel, or incorrectly attempting to remove an app does not constitute valid grounds for a refund.
All charges resulting from such circumstances remain the merchant’s responsibility.

Refund for Professional Services:

(Applies to Quick Start Service and other professional services)

Unless otherwise specified in a service agreement, Plug In Useful guarantees a 100% refund if the purchased service is not delivered as described.

To qualify for a refund under this guarantee:

  • You must provide written notice of your complaint within 24 hours of receiving the final service deliverable.
  • You must provide proof of purchase.
  • You must not have requested a chargeback from your credit card provider.

You are not eligible for a refund if you fail to meet the above conditions or do not cooperate with Plug In Useful’s reasonable requests for clarification or resolution.
